Dsus2
When i picked you up for our first date baby
well you're pretty blue eyes they were drivin me crazy
D/G
and the tiny little thought that was so amazing is
Asus4
they were lookin at me
Dsus2

to the other side
Asus4
i thought my oh my
(Chorus Riff)
This is basically a timing piece, but follows the main structure of the intro,
minus the last 2 chords. You're essentially going D ... G ... Em7 ... Asus4.
But along the way, I like to throw a few variations to make it sound like
there's more going on than there really is. What I'm doing in the video is
simply using my pinky to slide around and make it sound like there's a
second guitar playing a little lead beyond the basic rhythm of the D, G, Em7,
Asus4 bit. Thus, you're sliding your pinky from (based on the chart above, I
don't know the real names).
Dx ..... Dsus4 ..... D ..... Dsus2
(basically just pluck out the open D string, third lowest on the guitar) x2
D/Gx ..... D/Gx3 ..... D ..... D/G
(just pluck out the low E string, which becomes a G note) x2
Em7
Asus4
sweet thing
the moon is high
and the night is young
come on and meet me
in the backyard under the cotton wood tree
it's a good thing
am i wishin?
oh come on sweet thing
won't you climb on out of your window
while the world's sleepin
you know i need you and there's
no way i'll be leavin
till we're kissin on the porch swing
oh my little sweet thing
